Jordan Kepler
Artist at Rancher Blades
Jordan Kepler is the driving force and artist behind every blade. With a background in industrial design Jordan has always loved working with his hands. His first blade was created in 2015. Since then he has honed his skills, learning from master blade smiths and working hard to advance his craft with each creation. In 2021, he won the popular History channel show Forged in Fire and then went on to create his brand Rancher.

Join me in going over the basics of creating and forging Damascus. Learn why I use different types of carbon steel and what steps are necessary to create patterns in the material. How the metal moves under pressure and how that influence the patterns.
Task assignment
Using two different types of clay or simply drawing, I would like you to create a unique mosaic pattern and post your results. Bonus points for forging it out of steel!
