Trifacta was working on a big data cleaning solution that I could have used many times during my career. After seeing the ease that an average person could interact with data and extract information from it, I was sold. I ended up hiring 2 people to build out the team and attempted to influence development practices to streamline inception to out-the-door features.

Inspired by the dreams of the CEO of Sunrun, I joined up looking to make the world a greener place. At this time, the company was in a tumultuous time transitioning from a small startup to a force to be reckoned with. There was fire drill after fire drill. At this time there was a group of us that saw the issues that we were facing and cooked up some ideas to stabilize our product. It was a difficult time, but we eventually got things working well enough to put our eyes to the future and create our next-gen solar pricing products.

It was there that I was first exposed to the Agile world. Towards the end of my time at Yahoo! I had worked a small bit on a Yahoo! Finance transition to a new look front page.
