Senior Quality Manager

Trifacta was working on a big data cleaning solution that I could have used many times during my career. After seeing the ease that an average person could interact with data and extract information from it, I was sold. I ended up hiring 2 people to build out the team and attempted to influence development practices to streamline inception to out-the-door features.

Manager, Quality Assurance

San Francisco, CA, US

As we stabilized the product and began to build up the team to move forward, I was tasked to build out a QA team and get us moving forward. While heading up this effort, the QA team went from 2 individuals to a team of 7. Out of all the people that I had hired, each of them quickly developed and ended up being the driving force behind the PM to Dev to QA to Production development cycle.

July 2011 - January 2012 (7 Months)

Senior Quality Engineer

San Francisco, CA, US

Inspired by the dreams of the CEO of Sunrun, I joined up looking to make the world a greener place. At this time, the company was in a tumultuous time transitioning from a small startup to a force to be reckoned with. There was fire drill after fire drill. At this time there was a group of us that saw the issues that we were facing and cooked up some ideas to stabilize our product. It was a difficult time, but we eventually got things working well enough to put our eyes to the future and create our next-gen solar pricing products.

Quality Assurance Engineer

Promoted during my time at Yahoo!, I looked to work on some other areas that needed my expertise. I was tasked with assisting getting Yahoo! Buzz on track with test case streamlining and automation. I also looked to streamline Yahoo! Glue test cases as well. Eventually I worked on a research project that looked to try and create rich topic pages with minimal human interaction. It was there that I was first exposed to the Agile world. Towards the end of my time at Yahoo! I had worked a small bit on a Yahoo! Finance transition to a new look front page.

September 2006 - January 2009 (2 Years, 5 Months)

Quality Assurance Engineer

Sunnyvale, CA, US

Brought in to work with a 3 person team on Yahoo!'s Web and Mobile interface to AT&T's HomeZone and LightSpeed set top boxes. After the project had ended, I was converted from a contractor to a full time employee and tasked with working on the new My Yahoo! project. This was my first experience where I was working with counterparts in a different country on a day to day basis. While on this team I began to explore the world of automation. As the time on My Yahoo! was coming to an end, I worked to transition the knowledge I had gained over to the India team for continued support while I went on to work on other projects.

Hired in to a small mobile QA team. Saw the transition of mobile as a small project at Google to a huge building full of people.

While working for this team I began to take on team initiatives and organized testing efforts with very strict, and short, deadlines. Coordinated with the developers and had very quick turnaround times.
