I am working here at TalentSky developing the visuals and interactivity of everything you see. This is a wonderful team to work for, and we are proud to continue to improve upon our unique product.

form integration throughout the whole site

There are many forms on the TalentSky website that take inputted user data that can be submitted to our server. We decided to standardize our approach to building out these forms by using standard components connected through custom reduxForm data stores. ReduxForm, though not a perfect approach, reduces the complexity that could arise from creating each form uniquely, by standardizing the input and output. It also standardizes the language integration, and validation of form elements.

Rearchitecting TalentSky Frontend

The initial TalentSky front end code was built using backbone.js and other client only technologies. In an effort to develop a more robust experience that includes SEO, we decided to rebuild the project from the ground up using React, and Redux for state management. The new site uses isomorphic javascript (same code base on server and client) which allows pages to render server side and be easily crawled by search engines.

Writers Mugs is an online marketplace for artwork created by Justin Kempton. In addition to purchasing of physical art, publishers attain licensing of the art for use in publications. I created the code for the website somewhere in 2003 and continued to build out the inventory of original prints based on requests and self interest.

Executive Producer for Cecily Raine album 'Missing'

Cecily desired to create another album that had even more polish then her previous two. My role was very much as a cheerleader while she perfected the songs on our home Grand. We choose to record at 4th Street Recording in Santa Monica, and mixed and mastered using their facilities as well. We did a short run, 1000 cds, getting her music on Spotify, iTunes, and cdBaby.

Launched PixPlacebo.com

PixPlacebo is an online collaboration with artists and photographers bringing cool quotes to life with great background images. The genesis of the project spawned off writers mugs, where I found lots of traffic coming to my quote pages. This site also achieved great traffic to it's pages, nearly 350,000 uniques a month at it's zenith.

Early developer at Docstoc, a high traffic SEO website. Created much of the subscription product that was eventually acquired by Intuit. Heavy emphasis on dynamic javascript using vanillajs and jQuery for single and multi page applications. Worked extensively on internal startup projects including ExpertCircle, Licenses, and customDocs. Full stack development, agile methodologies, mentoring, product brainstorming, and on-boarding new developers.

Architected and managed creation and maintenance of the EIN fulfillment bot

Lead the team effort to create a bot using node.js that went to the government website to automatically fill in EIN information and get back a confirmation number. The system would receive JSON data from our .NET based servers and build out a trial run, taking screenshots along the way. When the operator checked out the results they would then confirm and then submit the EIN application and return a unique confirmation id for the customer. Originally the information for the form was generated from answers to the Alfred Questionnaire data and stored into our mongoDB databases. We processed thousands of EIN applications with the system, passing sensitive data in a secure way.

Mixpanel integration across licenses.intuit.com

Created a generic helper method class to integrate mixpanel, google analytics, and other event tracking services into our site. The helper was used throughout the site and streamlined the process of sending events to multiple services simultaneously. It's greatest function was in passing the proper variables needed by the marketing and product development team to better address the needs of the users.

AdventureLink is the easiest way to find and book unforgettable trips. With hand picked trips from the world's best tour operators to give great experiences from trusted sources at competitive prices. AdventureLink is for the Adventure Travel enthusiast, meaning people who want to go on an adventure in their travels and come back different.

Created look and feel of the trip search

Working as designer with the ability to code, I created the key feature of AdventureLink, namely, it's search results. At the time the layout was fairly modern and responsive, affording large beautiful images of each trip for sale based on the keywords. Hovering over a trip displayed a more advanced and detailed view. The basic design was used for both the main site and all affiliate sites. I also painstakingly coded out the HTML and CSS for rounded corners and drop shadows, (at the time quite fashionable and difficult to achieve cross browser).

Judged DirecTV / Level13.net second annual animation film festival

Created background music for DirecTV / Level13.net animated film festival

Working in collaboration with Pat Hazen of Dental Circus, we created the background music used for the DirecTV / Level13.net animated film festival. Most of the music was already created and compiled, but some of it was customized to enhance and stretch for timing.
