Adoption Metrics & Reporting

Tasked to analyze a variety of different data visualization vendors for in an effort to surface adoption metrics to internal stakeholders and customers. After assessing our needs, I've decided to move forward with Heap as an event tracking system and Elasticsearch's Kibana as the tool to query and visualize our back end data. I've been identifying customer, internal stakeholder, and external investor KPIs to track as we move forward with 2.0 launch. Moving forward, I'll be working with my team to build the reports for our different stakeholders utilizing the tools outlined above. Many of the metrics will be aggregated at different levels depending on the end user, including our customer's managers (granular reports), senior executives (organization-wide aggregate reports), and our own internal management team (global reports). Throughout this process we hope to identify longer term data visualization needs that we can build in-app for our customers.

Director, HR Consulting

Redwood City, CA, US

August 2014 - May 2015 (10 Months)

During this period, TalentSky was transitioning from a traditional executive search business into a software company. I was taking on multiple responsibilities split between search execution and management, and building content for TalentSky's various data libraries. While I was not officially on the development team, I interfaced with them regularly.

Architected TalentSky Skills Library

One of TalentSky's core features is the skill library, a repository of global skills utilized by individuals on the TalentSky platform to describe their moments. Originally, we purchased IBM Smarter Workforce's Talent Frameworks product, which served as a solid foundation for our library. We quickly realized that a singular database wouldn't suffice for our purposes, as it didn't provide the context we needed to accurately describe the day to day tasks of individuals across dozens of departments and hundreds of global industries. To add context to ambiguous terms, we decided to split the library into major skill types: Core Competencies, Expertise, Markets, and Tools. Over the ensuing months, Cindy Combs and I helped organize content across these libraries and build its overall taxonomic structure. As users and enterprise customers join the TalentSky platform, I'll help manage their skill submissions and expand the library.

Additionally, I personally sourced and interviewed candidates throughout APAC (Japan, China, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Australia) and South America (Mexico, Brazil). Over the course of the project, we placed over 50 candidates globally.
